Canada Votes: Federal Candidates

Typically, the Estevan Chamber of Commerce hosts an All Candidates Forum. Due to the quick election timing, and staffing/candidate availability, we opted to reach out to candidates via email to answer questions. We reached out to all 6 candidates, and received 4 responses. If we receive more responses, we will add them to this document. The Estevan Chamber of Commerce does not endorse a specific candidate, and is sharing their information and responses, for our membership to make informed decisions when voting. The Candidate profiles are listed in Alphabetical Order of their party. All Candidates were asked the same 5 questions, their answers are not edited in any way in the attached document.

Candidates were asked:

1. Why are you running for the constituency of Souris Moose Mountain?
2. What could we see as the first change your party would make if elected?
3. How will you and your party support small and medium-sized businesses in rural and resource-based communities like ours?
4. Saskatchewan has what the world needs in regards to energy and food. Saskatchewan is limited in exporting our natural resources, how will you and your party work to increase the movement of our resources to the world?
5. What is your plan and your party’s plan for the future of coal and the oil & gas industries in Canada?
